About the Network
to dismantle the military industrial complex
The Network to Dismantle the Military Industrial Complex is building a diverse movement to challenge the systems and structures that sustain war, militarism, and global violence. We are comprised of individuals, organizations, and communities committed to challenging and undermining the power and influence of the Military Industrial Complex.
We work to weaken and ultimately dismantle a system that relies on perpetual conflict, exploitation of resources, and the marginalization of voices that wish to uphold peace through justice in a world where military interests have come to dominate United States public policy, economies, and international relationships. We strive to redefine security by investing in systems that truly make us safe such as education, healthcare, affordable housing, climate resilience, and restorative justice.
Through grassroots organizing, political advocacy, education, narrative, and coalition-building, we are creating pathways toward demilitarization and lasting peace with justice. The work of dismantling the Military Industrial Complex is complex and urgent, but together, we believe a more just and peaceful world is not only possible, but within our reach.
the website
The Network’s website is designed to be an online hub for authoritative resources, tools, and data to help advance the movement to dismantle the MIC and related movements seeking to build a better, more peaceful, more just world by combatting war, imperialism, and the out-of-control US military budget. We also want the website to help build unity and better coordination across our broad community. Given the power of the MIC, members of the Network know that we need to work in coordination to win the victories we seek and desperately need.
